Dr. Paul Lam is a family physician in Sydney for the last 30 years, and is an internationally
acclaimed tai chi teacher. He suffered from arthritis himself for many years, and has
gained good control of his ailment through his practice of tai chi. His simple and effective
TCA (Tai Chi for Arthritis) program is based on the Sun style of tai chi, which incorporates
many qigong moves, as well as more nimble footwork which is more easily managed by arthritis
sufferers or more frail tai chi practitioners. In designing his program Dr. Paul Lam
consulted with numerous health professionals, including rheumatologists and physiotherapists.
His TCA form has gained support and endorsement from many Arthritis Foundations and Societies
throughout the world, including USA, England, Sweden, Spain, New Zealand, Hong Kong,
and South Korea. Dr. Lam will be coming to Kaua'i to teach in 2007.
